High-gloss appliances have a tendency to show grease and smudges. Scrubbing high-gloss appliances with abrasive cleansers or sprays can mar the surface, while other cleaners can leave streaks. Squirt 1 teaspoon of dishwashing liquid or other mild household detergent into 1 pint of warm water. Swish the water to blend at the detergent.

Wipe the surface of the refrigerator with the damp sponge, gently scrubbing to remove any particularly greasy spots. Allow the refrigerator to dry.
Spray quick-drying glass cleaner on a terry cloth or microfiber towel and wipe the surface of the refrigerator to remove streaks left behind by the soap.
Buff the refrigerator in a circular motion with a dry portion of the terry cloth or microfiber towel, or even with a towel. This helps remove any residual streaks.
